Cassel on NFL network Patriots vs Jets

That guy needs to learn how to slide when he scrambles. He does seem to have a nice touch on short/med routes as well.

Anyone else watching?

I'm undecided on Cassel. I hope he's great, i just haven't seen it yet.

looks like 270 total yards for the season. Thigpen was at 386.

KC didn't give nearly as many sacks as the pats did this last year. Interesting huh?

Cassel is very unique, IMO. There are not many 6-4, 230lbers with his kind of foot speed. His mobility is a little reminiscent of Ben Roethlisberger, perhaps.
I didn't say he physically resembled Garcia. I think he sorts of plays like Garcia though.

That's exactly where I'm at. I'm hoping and see potential, but it all depends on how he progresses with the experience he has gotten.

He seems a lot more cool headed in the pocket. Less panic than Thigpen.

You know who we're not paying attention to? Vrabel.

But then gain we're not seeing him make plays.

Also....Cassel can at least see over the line of scrimmage during the play.

One thing Thiggy couldn't do.

Salary is irrelevant. The Chiefs have oodles of cap room.

If Cassel gets 14 mil this year, no big deal.

This game is the perfect answer to people who thinl last years Patriots were a 16-0 team if Brady was there and that somehow Cassel played them down to 11-5.
As you can see their defense is not good. 3 other of the losses the defense sucked too. Only the Colt loss would have been different. For a kid to step in after not playing and take the team to almost where Brady would have showed something.

Cassel is having to deal with quite a bit of pressure in this game.
