Wells hes gone and Haley already has shown he cares a hell of alot more about the players and product on the field than Herm did...

Herm could sit in a padded room all day and just listen to himself talk.

I still say the Raiders should let him attempt some more bombs, if you can loosen a defense up at all with their WR speed and his arm their run game would open up more.

The problem is that they have to at least simulate a threat that it might be completed.

Right now, opponents know him chucking it deep is like trying to hit a squirrel with a howitzer from 25 yards away.

He did it in the last game and their WR's can fly...

Personally I'm more concerned with the idea of how the Chiefs can score on them, cause I'm not seeing it.

well...if we do surprise them with some new blitzes, I'm afraid all our physically fit ends and linebackers will just bounce off Russell....

I understand that. But until they can make it work somewhat consistently, nobody is gonna respect it. They'll take they're chances, knowing that, at least for now, it's only a 10% play. I mean it's not just that he's inaccurate, they have some fast guys that have trouble catching the ball.

Flowers will also be on the field this week. Carr and Flowers are much better duo than SD's. I think Legget is OK as a nickel as well, much better than as a starter.

We just need to figure out how to stop Miller.

Yeah, because the raider defense is a hell of a lot better than the Ravens.
We shouldn't score a single point.

Good god...

Hes only going to throw it 15 times.

7 of those passes wont be near anybody on offense or defense.
He'll complete 5 of his passes, 2 more will be incomplete, and he'll throw 1 pick.

1.

He can't actually get the ball close enough to a wideout to get picked. Further, he throws the ball so damn hard that it tends to just fly wildly out of bounds rather than be intercepted.

I'm not even being sarcastic here, JaMarcus Russell is literally too inaccurate to even be intercepted, IMO. It's why he had relatively few last year.
