Post Superbowl Mock

This is my first attempt at a mock this year.

Chiefs Picks

1. Eric Berry, Safety, Tennessee - Best player in the draft falls to us at 5.

2a. Terrance "Mount" Cody, NT, Alabama - 370 lbs will be in 350 range at combine. Slides to 2nd round. Just what the Chiefs need is a NT that eats blockers.

2b. Daryl Washington, ILB, TCU - Chiefs upgrade the speed at linebacker.

3. Lagarrette Blount, RB, Oregon - Teams with Charles for a good 1 2 punch.

4. Dan LeFevour, QB, Central Michigan, A big, strong QB with a good, not great arm and more touch than Cassel will carry clipboard for a year then challenge for starter.

5a. Eric Olson, Center, ND, should start season at center

5b. Denario Alexander, WR, MU. Many have Barnes out of Bowling Green here lately, but I saw a lot more of Alexander play a lot more. He needs to work on routes, but he's reliable and is a big target.

5c. O'Brian Schofield, OLB Wisconsin - Schofield probably would've gone higher had he not been injured Senior bowl week. Schofield when healthy takes Vrabel's spot.

If a guy who was once a projected 1st round pick falls to the 4th or 5th that means no-one wants to take the gamble.
Why anyone would want to draft Brian Leonard, sans receiving skills, boggles my mind.

Yes, it is. Same reason why dumbass Jason Sehorn got all that attention despite being a horrible cornerback.

Stafon Johnson and Legarette Blount are 2 RB's that were going to likely go somewhere in the first 3 rounds now they won't because of other circumstance that gives us the ability to get a good RB in a later round, lets not waste that on Toby ****ing Gerhart.

We are all Chiefs fans, but that doesn't mean we are gathering together for milk and cookies.

The draft is the most important thing for the future of this team. If you promote things that would cause it ruin, you're going to get piled on. You need to have thick skin to survive here.

Gerhart could possibly be the next Mike Alstott. Blount could possibly be the next Lawrence Phillips..

You know why this is getting a pile on reaction, cause there's always some fan who wants to draft a white guy who plays a position where there aren't normally white players.

I'm sure we'll get a Blake Gideon thread in a few years.

Blount already has a good start on that by punching another player and trying to climb into the stands to fight again.. He could become the Ron Artest of the NFL..
