* This is a loss due to one or more of the following: (1) this is a trap game, (2) our players relax due to it being the Christmas/Kwanzah/Hanukkah holiday weekend, and/or (3) Scott Pioli and Todd Haley execute the 2010 version of the 2009 Indy's successful suicide attempt on a perfect season by resting key performers.

15-1

BTW, if any of ya wanna hit on what I'm smoking, you're too late: it's all gone!!

Okay, maybe 12-4 is a stretch. But, seriously, though, aside from the four losses I pegged as being incredibly tough, are there any teams on that schedule that scream "unwinnable"? Even teams like Jacksonville, Buffalo, Arizona, and Tennessee, I'd rate them as much more difficult wins if they were road games.

7-9. But then, there are plenty of games where I believe playing just a little bit off could lead to a loss.

SF's a win, eh?

If that happened, I'd imagine that Mike Singletary would single-handedly destroy all of the new renovations at Arrowhead himself.

Unless San Francisco suffers a rash of injuries before Week 3, there is no way the Chiefs offense will score enough points to beat that 49er defense, let alone stop Frank Gore, Michael Crabtree and Vernon Davis.

After our little debate about KC vs San Fran the other day.....I watched them play and watched us play......Yeah I honestly look for that to be a good old fashioned ass whoopin for KC.Hell they may even take the west.Definitely looking like Mike is taking them in the right direction.

I'm second-guessing myself on that one, actually. I don't think their defense is nearly as good as advertised, though. Their points-per-game is pretty legit, but you also have to keep in mind that they played a lot of really shitty offensive teams last year. I think I could easily switch that to a loss and say 6-10, which is what I was thinking for the CHiefs anyway.

I was skeptical of Singletary's coaching abilities a few years back because he had to beg Brian Billick to become a member of his coaching staff. He followed Mike Nolan to San Francisco but I wasn't sure if that was because of their affiliation or because he was a legitimate NFL coach.

I think that question has now been answered and truly think he'll have San Fran consistently competing in the foreseeable future.
