It seems to me that the media has a bias against all the QBs in this class, CBs too but to a lesser extent.

The media makes this draft out to be horrible for the Chiefs. "Ah, its too bad they sucked this year because there is no QB worth drafting." But this draft is perfect for the Chiefs. They should be able to address their two biggest needs at the top of the draft, QB and CB. How often does that happen? I really think this could be a transformational draft for the Chiefs just like it was for the Chargers in 2001 when they drafted LT and Brees. The Chiefs can get their QB (Geno) and great CB prospect in the 2nd round, and then use the rest of the draft on depth. It's perfect if you ask me.

What's the bigger need on this team? WR.

Who had the better combine? Tavon.

Who has more impact in this league? WR.

And we can easily trade down and Tavon will still be there. Not so sure about Milliner.

If it's not Geno, getting Tavon and an extra pick or two is ****ing awesome.

Although it should probably be Barkley, because **** not taking a QB.

I agree completely. The percpetion of this draft has been HEAVILY influenced by the media and it changes with the wind.

Hyping Warmack to be the first overall pick was really pushing the envelope. Everyone knew a G, albeit a good G, would not go #1. Manti was clearly overhyped as well. He may be a solid LB but theres no hiding from his mediocre combine performance; the fact that he disappeared in the biggest game of his life; and the whole gf fiasco.

So that clearly leaves the best QB (Geno); the best CB (Millner); and the best pass rusher (?) as the potential #1 pick. If we stay at #1, then unless we take a WR it will be one of those three.

The thing is, nobody has EVER selected a CB #1 overall.

Are people actually suggesting we should do something that's never happened ever in NFL history just because we're scared of drafting a QB?

That's almost as dumb as taking a guard overall.

Tavon is VERY impressive for his size. I would prefer to take USC WR Woods later in the draft if he is available. Equally impressive as Austin; not hyped as much as Austin; has the size/speed combo to be a true #1; and is reliable as he is the leading WR in the history of USC.

Woods is the most accomplished WR in this draft. Plus I haven't seen any negatives associated with him.

I don't agree that any other WR in the class is "equally impressive."

Tavon does things after the catch NO ONE in this draft can match.

He's going to be as good as Steve Smith.

Nobody has said we are scared to take a QB.

1. The media has said no QB is worth the #1 pick.

2. Dorsey said he would take the BPA. I don't recall Dorsey ever saying that it wouldn't be a QB.

I don't doubt that Austin will be solid in the NFL. He has great hands and great speed. I just prefer the bigger wideout with the same qualities.
