Restaurants ideas outside of BBQ realm

Alrighty. We're looking at going to Michael Smiths. We were looking at Bluestem, but the price was just out of what we were looking to spend. My boyfriend decided on Michael Smith's because he has received a Michelin star, and the price is just about where we are comfortable spending. Just thought I would see if anyone has eaten there, or if you know of any other restaurants with Michelin star chefs in the area.

Next time I'm back in the area for a game, I'm looking you up to go out to a cool restaurant! I dig your recommendations and palette.

Deer are just giant automobile targeting rats.

Take a freeway trip through the northeast corridor. I've mentioned it several times in the past, but in just one car trip through NJ, PA and OH, we passed no less than 35-40 deer carcasses, 6-8 of them right in the middle of the roadway.

In suburban St.L, they have seasonal kill periods right in residential yards [for archers and air rifles, for resident safety] due to the proliferation.

I went to a Waffle House 1 time

It was horrible. Service was good but food and cost were both awful.

It made me lower my opinion of tin cup substantially

IHOP kicks its ass something cray cray

Great way to get a new car, without it going against your insurance rates. Fault free. Comprehensive. Go out searching for deer to whammy.

V's on 40 Highway in Independence is nice and cozy. Italian fare, reasonable price, and not too far from Arrowhead.

+1 Beer Kitchen. Char Bar in Westport is good, too, for a bit of a different BBQ option (and some stuff that's not BBQ, I think).

Bier Station would be an easy drive to the stadium.. haven't been there, but I've heard good things.

Outside Stroud's, Beer Kitchen, V's and BBQ, the only thing I can even think to add is Bo Lings if you like good chinese.

If you are looking for less formal sitdown foodstuff that's KC-centric, don't miss Hi-Boys for a burger and rings, or a longjohn at Lamar's.

We were in town a couple of weeks ago, and my sister-in-law and her beau took my wife and I here for a late meal.

http://www.kconeills.com

I'd definitely go there again.

PS- It a small quaint sports bar.

Strouds literally might have the worst fried chicken in Kansas City. It's so super bad. Just no seasoning on it at all. Blah blah blah.

Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken way better. I'd honestly rather eat KFC or Popeyes ahead of Strouds. That bad.
