AJ McCarron

From @NFLTotalAccess: #Bengals QB AJ McCarron, who won his grievance, will suddenly be a free agent... and he becomes an intriguing name. Keep an eye on the #Browns and #Vikings, among others.

This is great news. Glad Veach traded Smith early. That deal looks smarter and smarter all the time!

I don’t think so.

Maybe in Base Fuller will be outside, but as soon as they go nickel/dime he will play the slot. That is where Fuller excels. I think Veach finds another guy to play across from Peters while Fuller mans the middle. Nelson gets bumped to CB#4.
I like Nelson but his numbers were bad in the slot this year.

I think this secondary is about to be blown up:

Parker, Gaines, Acker, Terrell and even Sorenson should not be resting easy. I think Nelson, Mitchell and McQuay stick, and likely Sorenson, but the CB depth will change. Whether the Chiefs draft CB High, or nab a solid vet in free agency (a glut of good corners), the Chiefs cannot be happy how the secondary got exposed last season. I also think they will build depth around safety to protect against Berry not returning to form...

Huh. That's weird. I wonder why that would free him.

The Browns are the only team who could find a way to help themselves by screwing up a transaction they wanted.

Yeah I recall the arbitration happening because of some disagreement about accrued years or something like that due to injuries.

It would be quite ironic if McCarron signs with the Browns with Dorsey as GM, as he chose Aaron Murray, who sucked and is long out of football, one spot before McCarron in the 2014 draft.

Dorsey couldn't even draft a suitable backup QB in 5 years in KC.

I'm not sure why anyone thinks he'll make the correct choice in the 2018 draft.

So Dorsey had been neutered of all duties in the 2017 draft, and was just a fly on the wall when we selected Mahomes?

But guess who did? Andy Reid. Brett Veach.

And again, John Dorsey was unable to draft a suitable backup QB in 5 years worth of drafts.

Oh, and BTW, it appeared you were referring to whether or not Dorsey could be trusted to draft a starter in the upcoming draft. You need to learn to type better.
