Middle of the Day Bullshit: one of the worst things about the Peters trade.
One of the worst things about the Peters trade is how goddamn predictable this is all going to be.
Clark Hunt will say he deferred to the GM/HC. Brett Veach and Andy Reid will both say that Peters is a great talent, never provide any reasonable explanation as to what caused this, instead saying things like "we saw an opportunity to make the team better" and leave the rest of us to speculation. Peters himself will say a few veiled things that will largely leave the episode unexplained. And then a few media guys will have """""a source""""" that will say something like "we caught wind that there was this heretofore unreported incident that tells us exactly what happened" leaving the rest of us to kick each other in the dick as to whether we take that shit seriously. And we'll never know. Nobody will take responsibility for Dorsey/Reid drafting Peters thinking they could reel him in. Nobody will take responsibility for Reid and his staff failing to reel him in. Nobody will take responsibility for them theoretically doing all they could but Peters just being too goddamn big of a moron. Nobody will take responsibility for putting him on the block and getting probably a pathetic draft pick haul in return. JUST ONCE, guys. Just once, wouldn't it be nice if they shot us straight. Like this: Quote:
But we never got the straight scoop on KeiVarae Russell. And we'll never get the straight scoop on Peters. That's just the worst part of all of this, in my opinion. |
