Idk if any defense can hold KC under 30 when we’re being aggressive and trying to score for 4 quarters. Now, if they build a big lead and go conservative in the 4th quarter (think Arizona), then yeah maybe. But otherwise, I don’t see it.

It would be extremely disappointing if we lost any of the remaining regular season games. I can’t think of any team that has a bigger advantage over remaining opponents.
-Bye week before 3 games in 11 days. -Raiders twice who have given up. -Ravens & Chargers at home. -Chargers coming to us on a short week. -10 days to prepare for Seattle.

Even against Jacksonville they put up 30 and the offense didn’t even play that well. Which just goes to show how significant HFA would be for us.

High powered offense hurts their ranking. If the Rams had a ball control offense with an Alex Smith running the show, I bet their defense would rank quite a bit better and they’d have a worse W/L record.

We look good against those teams and we should feel really good going into the playoffs.

Because I'm bored on the day after Thanksgiving...
The following are what our opponents this year have surrendered in all the other games they played excluding the Chiefs, followed by the number of points that the Chiefs scored. In all cases we, not surprisingly, exceeded their defensive scoring averages sans the game they played against the Chiefs... Chargers: 19.0 ppg - Chiefs scored 38 Steelers: 20.33 ppg - Chiefs scored 42 49ers: 25.33 ppg - Chiefs scored 38 Broncos: 22.25 ppg - Chiefs scored 27 Jaguars: 21.00 ppg - Chiefs scored 30* Patriots: 21.78 ppg - Chiefs scored 40 Bengals: 29.66 ppg - Chiefs scored 45 Broncos: 22.25 ppg - Chiefs scored 30 Browns: 25.11 ppg - Chiefs scored 37 Cardinals: 18.11 ppg - Chiefs scored 26 Rams: 23.1 ppg - Chiefs scored 51** On average, our opponents have surrendered 22.54 ppg against all their other opponents not including the Chiefs. The Chiefs have scored against these teams an average of 36.73 ppg, exceeding the defensive scoring allowed averages by almost 39%. The Jags played the offense the toughest of any opponent, with the Chiefs scoring only 2 points above the Jags season average (though at the time we played the Jags average was a much more stingy 14.25 ppg). The Broncos, of course, also played us hard on defense. * Chiefs offense actually scored 23 + 7 off a pick-6 ** Chiefs offense actually scored 44 + 7 off a strip returned for 7 |

Also keep in my that unlike the Saints, and not 100% sure about the Rams, Reid tends to take his foot off the gas. Not always a good thing, especially in the past.

But I could see the Ravens being tough in the same way -- but also like the Jags and Broncos they don't have the offensive firepower to keep up even if our offense is off it's 37 ppg average. |

If you look at the remaining schedule and if the 40% pace continues the Chiefs would score against the remaining opponents (with +/- 3 for home field advantage):
at Oakland: 38 Ravens: 28 Chargers: 32 at Seattle: 27 Oakland: 44 |
