You think a DC is going to pass on a job because he has to keep a positional coach that has had a ton of success? Its not just any job either, if that DC does well here he could easily become a HC in a very short amount of time. Its not like the d line sucks and he has to keep Britt just because his dad is coach. Britt has been pretty good.

Yeah they were still playing off a ton. I felt like they only pressed on 3rd down. Outside of the turnovers I didn't notice a difference besides the energy level of Arrowhead giving them some juice.

Andy Reid gives his DCs pretty much free reign to do whatever they want where some DCs are micromanaged to death. And he's loyal to a fault. And considering Reid's coaching tree, doing well is a great way to springboard into a HC job. If a DC doesn't want that because of one DLs coach (who's competent enough at his job), he's certifiably insane.

They could have given up 20+ today against Oakland, and that would have sucked. But they did what they should do.

It’s not even the opponent or the stats that I’m happy about. It was the visible difference in the way that they were playing. A noticeable uptick in energy and aggression. They were more disciplined as well. That stuff is what you have to do against every opponent.
