To echo suzzer, Venice has long been kinda trashy, but that's also kind of it's charm. The current homelessness crisis might have pushed it past charming but it's not totally out of character. Santa Monica Pier and promenade are much better for iconic LA seaside, IMO.

I’ve been to Fremont St a few times but didn’t notice the White Castle there. That’s definitely a good location to eat a burger that you’re going to throw up 30 minutes later. I did go to an In N Out burger in Vegas that was off the strip and was disappointed after all the hype I’d heard about that place.

There's one in Scottsdale. Across the highway from Talking Stick Resort. NE corner of Via de Ventura and Pima Center Pkwy.

I was in Indianapolis in 2019 and saw one while I was walking. I hadn't had a White Castle in 20 years, so I had to go in and try one. I gotta admit, it wasn't bad.

In N Out is fine if you only have $5 to your name or you need some drunk food, but there are far better places for both a good burger and fries that aren't completely tasteless. The Habit is a good one in CA/AZ/NV. |

If you've never been to one, I guess the one thing you should know is the basic sequence of events is....
- Someone sees/hears crazy hype for In N Out - That someone goes to In N Out and is kind of disappointed - That someone communicates this and the response is... did you get Animal Style?! You have to get Animal Style!! - Someone didn't know about Animal Style So, make sure you get Animal Style, because then your completely tasteless fries will taste like their special thousand-island kind of sauce instead, and the burger will taste like a burger, but with their special thousand-island kind of sauce. Go try it.... then try The Habit, Smashburger, Slaters 50/50, or one of the many other great burger joints. |

They have good shakes. And I don't hate their burgers by any means... they're good, but there are better. And even most people who love the place admit their fries are terrible. |

Tommy's Original, Fatburger, Astro Burger and even Shake Shake (which is becoming more and more of a national chain, unlike the others) completely blow away In & Out.
Personally, I think In & Out is garbage and haven't eaten there in 20+ years. No mayo, the buns seems like they're a day old or more and their fries are soggy and flavorless. Your mileage may vary. |

I like McDonalds. That's the kind of palate you're all dealing with here.

The Habit is my favorite.
Another In N Out dissatisfied customer here. I cook better frozen fries at home using my air fryer. |
