So how does this change our draft strategy?

Now that Veach pissed away our first what would you do with these picks? Trade up? Down? Stay put? Position you'd attack? Specific players? Defensive heavy, offensive heavy? Are we more needy and less BPA, or the opposite?

Round 2 #29 (61)
Round 2 #31 (63)
Round 3 #20 (84)
Round 5 #29 (167)
Round 6 #28 (201)

My opinion going in was that KC had to move up for a LDE from 29 no matter what so they have that now in Clark. Nothing really changes. I might be more inclined to spin those 2 late seconds into a high 2nd for a CB or FS depending on who drops though.

I'm almost willing to bet that some of the names we've entertained @ 29 will be there when we pick in the 2nd.

Probably. There's gonna be guys we thought we'd be picking from at 61 taken in the first round too i'd guess.

I agree, so "pissing away" our 1st for a proven player is hardly a fair assessment. FS, CB, TE.

Where did I say that? I said you're not obligated to take a CB with either of our 2nd round picks.

I think we might go heavy in the secondary. CB is a damn near lock. I think we are drafting a WR with one of those 3 picks too.

I admit seeing Rock Ya Sin, Sean Bunting and Amani Oruwariye available at 63 in a LOT of the automated mocks I did.

Now they can take BPA. I know that’s the shit GMs always toss out there, but few actually do it with their early round picks .
Clark filled in a huge missing piece for this scheme. I think they need serious help at CB, but they also need WR. Neither of which I think would’ve been the same impact at 29 as Clark will be.

According to what I've witnessed today, you take every bit of that useless shit, trade back in to the high first, and pick an impact player because drafting is scary and may not produce anything of value.

Also, take a few moments to let Rodger Goodell blow a nut in your asshole.

Thank you!

I honestly wouldn't be surprised. I think we are looking for guys who will make an impact this year. We may have guys who aren't dumpster fires at RB now, but if there's a guy available who can give us an immediate boost then we are taking them. RB and TE seem like two positions where a rookie could make an impact. WR takes a year or two in Reid's system. I don't know about CB with Spags, but I wouldn't want to spend our top pick on a guy who will only play special teams because he can't beat out Ward.
