Football is a game. A game played on a field. Whoever scores more points wins the game.

If they trot Eric Murray out there as a starting safety, this tells me all I need to know about our ability to score at will. I can't think of a player that frustrated me more in man to man coverage than that asshat. It's the one thing I disagreed with Terez Paylor on when he said Murray is due for a breakout season and will show out (when Berry went down). I pray to sweet baby Jesus they put Murray on Kelce.
Fun Fact: The last time the Texans won a season opener played on the road was 2013. Last edited by FAH-Q; 09-02-2020 at 05:42 AM.. |

Here’s a little clip of local Houston radio guys basically talking about how they have zero confidence in being able to slow KC down: https://youtu.be/2S5n3MXRDDI
But they detail their defensive personnel in-depth, it’s a decent watch. |

Texans fans are still holding out hope that Lonnie Johnson can cover Kelce 1v1...

Mathieu will erase Cobb. Sneed getting his first test against burners like Fuller and Cooks is fascinating as he too is a speedster.
All in all, I expect a win by 10+ but who knows since home field advantage may not really exist. |

Hopefully the KC guys show up ready to play. We don’t need to see another 0-24 start against Houston.

Texans will be fired up and out for revenge.
Lack of preseason will hurt both teams. But I think the Texans come in and steal one from the Chiefs. Texans 27 Chiefs 24

lol if you think this offense will score 24. They put up 51 last time they played and added CEH. |

I just don't think the Texans can hang with us if we bring the 2019 defense that played in the second half of the season.
Watkins is an X factor and could always explode but it's just not likely that the defense has any answers against a Mahomes-led offense that can do whatever it wants. Chiefs 40 Texans 23 |

Not having preseason is messing with me. I use preseason to get into football-watching mode and learning new jersey numbers and stuff. This is going to be like sprinting without stretching first.

I’ll just say that funny things happen in week 1 NFL games even in normal years. If we lose it really doesn’t mean much overall.
