I'm old enough to remember when people said that losing Kareem Hunt, who is now second fiddle in a platoon situation for the Browns, was going to ruin us.

Exactly. He benefited from clever play design just like the receivers. Still happy he got a decent deal.

A friend of mine who isn't a Chiefs fan always tells me we'd be back to back SB champs already had we not cut him and not having him cost us the NE AFC title game so.

Umm have you not explained to him that he wouldn’t have been playing either way?

You’re right, I forgot about that.

Dude needed to get out of Cleveland ASAP.

This is a terrible decision all around IMO.

Yep, be surprising if he plays out this contract without some boneheaded altercation being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

3 incidents while in KC, 2 of which happened in Cleveland. All 3 were fights and 2 definitely had alcohol involved.

2 incidents after signing with Cleveland, both of which happened in Cleveland. The first was in August while he was still serving his suspension - he was stopped and questioned by police about yet another fight. And then he was stopped in January for speeding and pot.

I'm not sure how many people know this but it's just yet more reason why Kareem being in Cleveland might be an issue.

He's been in trouble even before college. His family is literally a laundry list of violent felons - his own father has been arrested 35 times including several domestic charges and violating protective orders. It's a terribly violent environment and if they guy is really wants to get himself in shape, it just doesn't seem he'll be able to do it in Cleveland.

Yeah, and he never wanted to leave here. His heart was and always will be in KC. Watch his arrest video. The man never cared about the money so much. He's a pure soul. Tormented, but pure.
