Can’t pick up blockers as a pass protector, isn’t aware when he’s the hot read coming out of the backfield, and somehow messed up the gift of a fumble in the Texans game that should have been a TD for him. The guy is a liability.

Williams was playing injured to start the 2019 and had a total of 31 attempts in the first four games of the season, which is an unfair comparision.

A better comparison would be to 31 year old LeSean McCoy.

McCoy: 40 attempts, 214 yards, 2 TD's, 5.3 yards per attempt, 71 receiving yards and 1 TD

CEH: 71 attempts, 304 yards, 1 TD, 4.2 yards per attempt, 129 receiving yards and 0 TD's.

Washington is a MUCH better receiver than Williams and Thompson.

My guess is they were hoping to see enough from Darwin and Darrel to justify only using 3 roster spots on the position — enough to where IF Clyde went out for a few quarters, they’d feel comfortable with what Darwin and Darrel could do in his place temporarily.

Now they’ve seen enough to know that the running game would be totally nonexistent if that were to happen and thus, enter Washington. Clyde’s immediate backup.

It's funny how half of CP was ga-ga over Darwin at the beginning of last season, and now he's trash, but literally has seen almost no snaps so far. What's he got, like 5 snaps? No preseason snaps, either. Has he performed well up to this point? No, of course not. Although that was a nice carry he had right up until he fumbled the ball. But am I going to crucify him after 5 snaps? Probably not. I always said Darwin was going to be a project, that he had a lot to learn at this level. He's just going through the growing pains like any other lower draft project player. He could still turn out to be a pretty good player with more coaching and seasoning.

And I disagree with the consensus that Toub shouldn't have Butker sky-kick that one. If the idea was to keep being aggressive, to try to pile on the pressure, then kicking it like that was absolutely the right thing to do. And we should keep doing that when appropriate. Because if they (STs) can drop the returner for a short gain and punish them a little for bringing it out, or even force a TO, like they did against HOU in the Divisional round, why the hell not? It puts more pressure on the team, not just the players, but also the coaching staff, and that pressure can lead to decision-making mistakes. I'm all for that.
