How do you guys handle robocall?
I receive a lot from healthcare, police, women cancer unit, firefighter, etc calls. Three or four times a day. How do you stop those?

I always answer the call with a Hello followed by a minute long pause and the person on the other end seems confused..It sounds like they're expecting No one is available to take your call.

I have the AT&T Call Protect App and it is like Mutombo blocking that shit.

Sometimes I’ll see like 17 consecutive robocall attempts, all blocked away.

My favorite is the Gas & Electric scam calls. You know the ones. Where they robo-call you with the, "Your power is set to be shut off within 30 minutes for failure to pay unless you call XXX-XXX-XXXX right now"

So i'll call the number and go along with the scam pretending im some naive, worried victim eager to pay them and make sure my power doesn't get disconnected.

After a few minutes they usually catch on to my sarcasm and poor voice acting. Then they hang up on me.

I'll call them back though and start ****ing with them.

The last time i did (like 2 months ago) it went something like this:

(In my best southern accent) "Hi, this is (insert name) and im outside your building right now with a box of dildos for (name of w/e scammer i was speaking to prior). I can't find your unit #. Can someone come outside and collect this box of dildos for ( ) please?"

They'll cuss me out, talk shit and all that, yelling over the phone.

I continue. "Well what do you want me to do with this goddamn box of dildos for (name)? This is a lot of rubber dicks for (name) to sit on and i sure as **** can't leave 'em in my truck!"

They'll continue cussing at me until they hang up on me.

Then i'll call them back and do it again. And again.

I think it's ****ing hilarious.

I used to mess with them but it got old after a while. I get 4-5 calls a day on each of my cell phones, plus numerous texts. Basically just send them all to voicemail. It feels like if you answer one, they just put you on more lists to get called even more.

Ignore any call that I don't have the number saved.

1. Delete 2 second VM when it disconnects
2. Delete 40 second VM that is always silence. Why 40 secs?
3. Delete VM that transcribes generic Youre extendended warranty, etc. msg is left
4. Howl in anger the rare time it's some support call or doc's office calling from an unknown #

It really is frustrating

Normally I'll just block them, but if I'm feeling ornery, I'll light them up.
I got an "IRS" call a couple of years ago. Some slap dick with a heavy accent, claiming, if I didn't make a payment right now, that him and some other "agents" were going to come over and take me to jail.

I told him to come on over, but make sure to kiss your wife one last time before you do, because you won't be coming home. He hung up.

I had a car warranty guy get pissy with me about a month ago and I told him, listen shit ball, if you keep calling, I won't let your mother suck my dick anymore. I got hung up on again.


The do not call list is useless.
