Do you think Belichik could criticize a QB or Andy Reid or anyone who has studied or played the position? Of course they can.

Its literally just an opinion anyway.

Same goes for Chef Ramsey, do you HAVE to like his food just because hes a famous Chef? No.

If his food sucked to you, then it sucked. Other people may like it but again, thats your opinion.

Huh? Liver? WTF? GR does not use liver in Beef Wellington. Who tf would use LIVER in Beef Wellington?!

Simms takes are solid, per usual. He is spot on that the faid really screwed up with their defensive playcalling. Play a basic cover 2, stay patient, force KC to run first and often. They didn't do that: they played a cover 3 with occasional cover 1. They frigging blew it, defensively, and the Chiefs did something fairly new for this season: they made them pay for it. Credit to KC for much improved execution.

Someone with PS skills should mock up Mahomes and Simms in the stupid sandwich gif.

That said, of everything possible to criticize Ramsey for, his Welly isn't it. Prime beef and mushroom is delicious ALL THE TIME, and in a Welly it's just about perfect.

And he markets it for home presentation.

We'll know a lot more this week. Cowboys have a great offense. It's great that Mahomes got the offense going when the defense was putting the screws to the opponent, but can he maintain that same swagger without pressing if the defense is giving up more scores?

Yes, I know he's won plenty of shootouts in his career. The problem during his "slump" is he wasn't winning those shootouts and throwing picks in the process. Can he get that part of his game back?

Simms still thinks the Raiders didn't play the Chiefs the right way.

They did in the first and Reid and Mahomes crushed it.

Then the Raiders altered in the 2nd half but they didn't alter to things that were better. They played more 3 high and that left wide open field for us to run guys through and to hit RPO stuff.

Against KC you limit the deep shots AND take away the RPO game by dropping your linebackers back more.

Make Reid run the ball more which he dislikes.

I would argue that none of that really mattered and what made the biggest difference was Mahomes happily tossing it over to Williams uncovered in the flat all game long.

That just absolutely killed The Raiders.

It's been there, we just haven't taken it much. Sunday we saw how taking that outlet pass, especially early, opens everything up later in the game.

There have been plays like checkdowns that we weren't taking but unlike the Green Bay game (where Reid schemed a drive or so) we attacked the Raiders without mercy in the correct places all 1st half.

It wasn't just Mahomes and execution. Our coaching had become stale as well and Reid finally altered for more than the scripted plays (In Green Bay he attacked the weak spots then went back to our normal playbook).

I almost made a thread about this. The Raiders are the first team to abandon the formula used against Mahomes.

Are the Raiders just dumb? Or did we punish the Raiders enough with our short game to force them to adjust?

Teams are struggle if our Defense really has improved. You could be looking a 3-4 possession per half.

Simms says right in the video that the Raiders were doing what they needed to do, but Patrick Mahomes was taking the short stuff and that forced the Faid to try and stop it. That led to the deep stuff opening up.

One of the big differences is that Mahomes was taking the short stuff early, instead of waiting until the pass rush was about to kill him. Mahomes finally accepted that a short pass isn't a "losing play".

It was great that Mahomes got to turn it loose late in the game. It rewarded him for doing the right thing, so hopefully he will keep doing it.

It looked like it was both Mahomes being dialled in and committed to the short stuff early, but also the Raiders failing to have the patience of other teams to let that play out and hope we make a mistake on a long drive.

Honestly, can't see anything wrong with Simms' evaluation that he wants to wait another week before he suggests Mahomes and the Chiefs are back. Obviously he was way off on the prediction but we probably do need another couple of performances like this to feel really confident. Would be good to see Mahomes carve up a cover 2 defence - which I don't think the Cowboys are, but they're a team that should score and put us under pressure. A proper test.
