Remember that one Jags fan who trolled us all offseason that we were going to draft Luke Joeckel at #1 overall? And when we passed on that ultra mega bust piece of crap and the Jags took him, he never showed his face on CP ever again?

Didn’t they do that one time when an opposing player dismissed the crowd?

Crowd noise afffects the game, assuming it's loud enough, in several respects:
it negates hard counts. Can't do hard counts if your OTs can't hear you. It limits audibles; depending on how well coached an offense is, it can limit them to a very basic audible system. It can confuse play-calling; ever play telephone? Same idea. It can create problems with the offense getting off the snap on time, so for example, OLs can commit more holding penalties because one or more of them are late off the snap, forcing them to have to commit a hold. Or disrupt the timing of a route. And so on. There's more, but when you watch playoff games at Arrowhead or say PHI, what you notice is that less well-coached teams often commit more false starts/holding/illegal formations or motions and those types of mistakes. JAX is a pretty well-coached team, but they've never been in a game of this magnitude at Arrowhead, so the noise probably will affect them, at least at first, or if they get themselves into a jam at some point. Football at the NFL level is all about precision, and extreme noise levels can and will disrupt some of that, especially with less experienced teams.

One thing that kind of annoys me about crowd noise is that I think it's often done at the wrong time. You'll see the other team break the huddle and then our volume starts going up towards a roar. It seems like it would be best to be at a roar while they're in the huddle as well. I recognize that it seems odd to be yelling then, but wouldn't it be more effective?

Jaguars haven't been in an away playoff game since 2017 season. They played at Pitt and at New England. Those are both tough places to play. I doubt there are any players on this team that were on the squad for the last playoff run.
Arrowhead will be rocking. |

I had season tickets their for 8 years back when I lived there, and it’s not even in the same league as far as crowd noise. The stadium isn’t designed to captured crowd noise, plus the it’s a smaller stadium full of transplants that are largely fans of another team first and the Jags are just the local team that most aren’t really vested in.

I don't think I've ever seen another troll come anywhere close to being that successful at pissing off Chiefsplanet that effectively.
