I think I'd still rather have Anton over Uzi, but I am liking what I see from FAU a TON. Things worked out pretty well and if Wanya ends up being even a 4-year strong swing OT guy, that's a hell of a good use of that 3rd rounder that we didn't give up to move up.

This thread ended up being pretty spot on, really. Mecca even pegged the Cowboys taking Mazi at 26. But Coburn was one of the reasons I didn't want to jump early for a NT:

The fact that Nate was talking about Mazi makes me think it was Harrison. He was so confident in Mazi like someone told him point blank. I dont think the Chiefs scouting dept would ever make that mistake. I think hes just a pawn but thinks hes a real insider.

It's the benefit of the CP Mock (and curse). We end up on record for just about everyone. I took Coburn in the 5th for Seattle. Motor worried me a bit but he flashed starting caliber upside.

I'd honestly say Bresee who went a few spots after Mazi is more of a Spags guy. I agree I'd say Veach was trying to get Harrison.

Yeah Nate doesn't get any actual info. He's more of a writer/journalist than an insider. I don't think there are any insiders that know anything about what's going on inside this organization. They just make big FA signings, but there aren't ever any reports about it. No one was right about what they wanted to do during the off-season.

I thought a few guys like Coburn and Brooks would go earlier, especially the latter given he looks like a guy you might be able to move around. In most of my mocks i was l was looking at DT around R4, sometimes R3, but yeah, with hindsight there was enough talent waaay later than that even.

I think I took Clark in the 3rd and I believe he went 7th.

Run-Stuffers have NO value in the draft.

So if you take a guy like Smith and he doesn't develop his pass rush, he's a 3rd day pick. You're putting so much projection into a prospect like that.

Then when he does turn into an elite player, you won’t wanna pay him anyway
