Wouldn't that be something... I'll be sad when Mahomes retires, but won't be sad when that means going back to only tuning into the NFL for the CGs and the SB, if they have completely ruined those by then.

If the NFL makes a big deal about it, it will just draw more attention to it. So yeah, fire away Goodell.

This is the most current comparison (from 2022) I can find and Mahomes' situation is far less egregious:
