Let's talk about the Browns

Hopefully Jameis Winston is in the giving mood. I mean giving the ball to our defense.

This one is as dangerous as any left on our schedule. Between Garrett vs. our LT, and our inability to take advantage of Winston's reckless throws as others have stated...

Yeah, I'm nervous here.

I mean we gamble on pressure. Hard. But you're right we're not jumping routes everywhere. Some of it is that we don't play a lot of zone. In zone you have guys looking at the QB rather than turning and running with dudes.

Give me what we've got. We used to make turnovers and damn it was fun. But if we went up against a good QB who wouldn't throw dumb passes, we couldn't buy a ****ing stop. Now we can get stops, but we have to hear about how we never turn anyone over.

God bless Spags.

Cleveland will be thinking about Christmas.

This won't be difficult. No fight left in this dog.

Oh, I agree. I have no complaints about this defensive scheme (other than wishing they'd use Josh Uche on obvious passing downs to add some pass-rush juice). It has been huge for the dynasty.

He’s a night and day different receiver with an actual NFL caliber QB. Since Rapeson got karma’d here’s his yards by game: 79, 73, 142, 85, 235(!), and 64. He had two games over 70 with Rapeson but otherwise a bunch of games between 15-35 yards.

They actually played the Steelers much tighter than the score indicated.

At one point it was 13-7 Steelers but the Browns had missed two field goals. Obviously that would have meant a tie ball game.

Njoku against our LBs could be an issue. I can see Winston throwing all over this secondary. They have weapons. He's not the most mobile QB but neither was Herbert. The pass rush needs to help the secondary out.

Garrett is a problem against any team and we've already made worse pass rushers look like Garrett this year, so I'm actually not too worried about Mahomes being harassed the entire game. It's nothing new. I hope Andy Reid can learn to trust the run game and throw the shorter passes.

Njoku is such a bizarre player.

Will drop the easiest ball you'll ever see then turn around and make a spectacular leaping catch where he flat Mosses some fool.

I don't get that guy at all. I think he's really really good and then the moment I start to get sure of it, he just duffs some routine play that kills them.

He's not a smart QB. He is basically the equivalent to a street ball basketball player. On the one hand he is fearless. On the other hand he is fearless. He is Ryan Fitzpatrick except a much more gifted passer, but with less between the ears. it will either be a designed screen or most of the time it will be a downfield chuck down the field and even if the dude is triple covered he's gonna try to squeeze it in there. He has gone through full seasons where he barely ever checks the ball down.

It really is just riverboat gambling. It's either gonna blow up in points like in Denver or be a disaster like in Pittsburgh. I don't think our issues with opportunism will be as much of an issue. Even if we don't jump routes there will be a few opportunities to throw it directly at our defenders.
