Young black bear hit, killed by vehicle in Missouri

Officials say a young black bear was stuck and killed by a vehicle in southern Missouri, days after reported bear sightings in the Kansas City area.

The Missouri Department of Conservation said Thursday that the bear was struck while crossing a road at night in Howell County, but the exact location was not provided.

I have heard that but didn't know if it was true. We have a neighbor here at the lake that said they had seen a couple of them but I haven't personally seen one.

The wildlife here is just incredible to witness on a regular basis. While mowing this morning, I watched a hawk fly out of one of our trees, chase down a bird and fly back by into the woods with the bird in it's claws.

Recently saw a fox running across our yard with a squirrel in its mouth.

We also have a bunch of looney toons applying for tags in an attempt to keep them out of the hands of hunters.

The ass clowns don't understand the whole point of the season is to reinstall the "fear of humans" back into the population so they'll quit rummaging into campsites and fearlessly moving into population centers.
