This is a bad post. The skills required to be a good baseball player are much more elite and difficult to master than those of any of those other sports. Golf is probably a step above baseball in difficulty.

I played baseball. I was a good athlete, and I saw great athletes that were terrible at baseball and vice versa. I had no plate discipline. Could not figure it out. I have no idea how people walk. Every pitch looked like a strike to me, no matter what I did. That had nothing to do with my athleticism or lack thereof. Plus, anybody can acquire the needed strength to play baseball. Most people can never be as strong as an NFL safety, though.

Thank the 2006 lame duck congress for tacking on the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act to a port security bill that apparently had to pass. Oh yeah with exceptions for fantasy football, horse racing and lotteries.

Government is so awesome sometimes.

You are totally missing my point. Baseball and golf are probably HARDER to be good at than basketball or football, but they dont require great athleticism to be good at. Its really difficult to be a world reknowned chess player, just because its hard to do doesnt mean you have to be athletic to do it

Yes it did. Body control, timing, handling objects, and the training of the body to have automatic and quick responses are all athletic skills.

Chess is not an athletic endeavor. Baseball most certainly is one.

Billy Butler is a "fat slow blob" pretty much only in the world of professional sports. Not compared to most people. Hitting, throwing, even his fielding, are all athletic and he's better than 99% of the world.

Much of fielding is acquired skill, not all. Its a skill so to speak to be able to see the ball off the bat, or to be able to scoopnone out of the dirt. I hardly see how that has anything to do with being athletic or not. Like I said, being athletic is certainly helpful in baseball, that is obvious, but it is definitely not required.

And if you think Billy Butler is more athletic than 99% of all males I dont know what to tell you, except laugh. Hes probably more athletic than like half of all people and that is realllllly pushing it.
