Absolutely.

And imagine how much more hate there will be if they get a 3rd consecutive pennant.

Glorious!

People hate change. We were always supposed to be that down and out team that never really amounted to anything, and now we've changed the status quo all of a sudden.

Even people who were initially happy for us last year going on that historic run probably feel like we've outstayed our welcome.

What's funny is how they moan about how lucky we are, as if the past WS participants/winners didn't have their share of breaks. Newsflash: you need to run a little hot in the postseason. Get over it, moaners.

Can't wait for this to happen again next year.

If everyone else hates you, it's probably a good thing.

I have one good friend who is a Mets fans. He's been awesome about everything (and is smart enough to realize they have a really bright future with these young staters, Flores, Conforto, d'Arnaud, etc.

I have one other friend who is a Mets fan. She's been awful. But I should expect that... She's a St. Louis-born KU basketball/Ohio State football/Mets/Blues/Packers fan.

So she's a dumb t-shirt fan. But she fills out those t-shirts REALLY nicely, so I don't mind it too much...

I've stayed out of this thread all WS, but congrats to the Mets on a good WS and having a great team with a very bright future. There are so many positives about that squad. Also, as for the talk about Mets fans, I live in prime Mets fan territory and wore my Royals hat all through the WS and everyone was very nice, only friendly ribbings, definitely nothing mean or threatening. I think Mets fans are pretty classy.
