I think everyone expected this team to be better, based on the way the defense played last year and JC and EB returning. Talk about disappointment.

This is just ****ing reeruned.

Most people, whether national or local sportswriters, pundits, etc. all felt like the Chiefs were likely to be a playoff team, if not the division winner. On paper, the 7-9 team from last year should have been better considering the early losses of Charles, Berry and Moeaki, in addition to the "upgrade" of the offensive line, development of Baldwin and the arrival of Daboll.

As a matter of fact, anyone who thought they would suck after last season was probably a hater, because logic suggests that this team should have been better than the 2011 team.

I don't know how that qualified me as a "homer", especially since I reversed course early on.

Logic didn't suggest that whatsoever.

We hired Romeo Crennel and stood pat with Matt Cassel.

And then we got served with a much tougher schedule (devoid of the Tim Tebows, Curtis Painters and Caleb Hanies we feasted on a year ago).

It was amazing the homerism around this place. Chiefs fans were all duped.

Including the great McCloud. 12 wins? A playoff win? Trent Green 2.0?
