I would think comparing Lamar to Cam as a closer comparison that Cam and Allen. Allen has a far better arm than those two and even if he’s no longer scrambling he can still be effective with his arm. Not sure how Lamar will be.

While true, running is such a key component to Allen's game that it would be really interesting to see how teams would defend him, and how that would impact him should they not have to worry about him running anymore.

Concussion’s aren’t chronic with him obviously. I checked his injury history & that’s his only one & it was 3 years ago.

Lamar shies away from big hits. Newton and Allen want to truck every defender. That's the difference. That style doesn't last and I wouldn't want my QB constantly challenging defenders physically.

He's great running the football.

No chance I'd want my QB running it that much.

I really whiffed on Lamar early in his career. I figured he was playing on borrowed time, but he never seems to take the big hit.

He could still end up with a devastating lower leg injury from getting tackled wrong in the open field or turf monster, but I don’t think he’ll break down like Cam.

Secondary needs to be prepared because Allen is going to unleash some bombs.

Based on what?
Compare the lineups and let's discuss where they are superior to the Chiefs.

I would agree 1000% that Newton is a cautionary tale for the dangers of using your QB as a key component of your run game for Jackson, too. I wasn't comparing Allen to Newton - just saying that's the worry if you're running the QB a lot. But which player is Allen's running style like? More like Newton.

Allen does have a bigger arm than Jackson. But don't forget that Newton had an absolute cannon until he injured his shoulder... Running the football and taking on contact/using his physicality to improve the effectiveness of his running.

Fenton was the one who got torched. Also, the faider offense right now has probably the best running back in the league along with the best wide receiver.
The Chiefs will not face a better dual threat until we play them again later in the year. A Sneed-McDuffie-Watson is better than what the Bills have. Their only relevant corner is White. Elam got torched the previous game. We are three deep at safety with Reid-Thornhill-Cook and they only have Poyer.
Spags needs to do a better job at blending the pieces but our talent, on paper, in the secondary is better. That's a fact.

Both defenses will be in cover 2 100% of the time IMO. There’s no way they are letting WR’s feast in single high.

They’ll let each offense get smaller chunk plays and hold up in the red zone. That’s the goal for both teams.
