Georgia only added one new player from the transfer portal despite losing all of that talent from last year to the NFL.

Old school recruiting is still alive and well…

…if you can consistently haul in 5 star recruits like Alabama and Georgia.

They’re both pretty much the same. There’s a handful of maybe 5-6 schools in basketball and football that always get all the players and will always be the ones playing for a championship every year.

Might be time to start tuning out. The have-nots were at a mild disadvantage before, now it's impossible.

The NFL is national.

College football is a little more localized.

Pro players get paid so its a level playing field. College players aren't supposed to but a few teams do. College sports are a complete joke for that reason. There is ZERO competitive balance when teams get caught red handed with multiple level 1 infractions yet the NCAA does nothing about it

Not really.

Taking a quick glance at top-10s from history tells a completely different story.

I'm fine with it. Players need to be paid and have the ability to transfer even if it's worse for a majority of schools and fans.

Don't be surprised when large areas (not population) start to check out.

That's not really true at all. Since the start of the CFB there have been double the amount of individual schools to play for the title in basketball than football. I'm too lazy to expand this to just make the final four vs cfp final four but I suspect that number would just grow. Sure there are blue bloods that are generally among the favorites in basketball but due to the nature of the tournament it's rarely chalk and one seeds playing each other every year.

Again, that's the nature of short 3-point lines and long 1 and done tournaments.

yeah, CBB is going to have more erratic championship outcomes but it's mostly because the NCAA tournament makes the results (unfairly) random, IMO.

The best teams are still the best teams every year. They just have bad shooting nights in the tournament. Randomness in determining a champion shouldn't be viewed as a positive.
