I wish we would fire Andy right now and hire Flores. Every FA would want to play for him this year. He also would run the ball and stop with the we have Mahomes so just keep throwing it bullshit shitty game plan when we have the big lead.

Andy, EB and Mahomes are no longer a good match. Same shit happened ;ast year in the SB and twice now against the Bengals.

I don’t have an opinion on lovie or Caldwell or Lynn. I don’t think the issue is that they get fired too early as much as it is that they just don’t see opportunities. Which is strange for a league that’s majority black players.
Biasccia is the first interim in-season coach to coach his team in the POs as HC in 60 years. Morris, Williams, Crennel did not do that. Arians took over as acting HC because Pagano had ****ing cancer and he did not act as HC at the end of the season.

He literally just did something that interim coaches rarely do.

Jerod Mayo is a very young LB coach and is already getting HC interviews/buzz.

None of those guys have been treated unfairly. They’re all in the up and coming category. Their situations aren’t even remotely comparable to a guy like EB.

It’s hilarious that you can see that most of these HCs are former QBs and/or QB coaches, and you think being a former player is important, yet you don’t understand that most QBs are white. That’s a perfectly normal explanation that has nothing to do with racism.
What you’re saying is that McCarthy, gase, mcdaniels get second chances while guys like Frazier and Bowles don’t. Hell, it took most of those black coaches 20 years to get their shot. Young up and coming coaches will get their day, meanwhile campbell, Staley and soon mccown get a shot. Guys with histories like Patricia and vrabel are fine but EBs legal history is untouchable. It’s not so much that EB will be a great hc. It’s that every year there are enough wtf hires where we know Eb probably couldn’t be worse.

I don’t know where to fix the problem but it’s undeniable that there is an issue and I highly doubt it’s due to not wanting to teach. As if there aren’t captains out there who’ve shown outstanding leadership and feel for the game.

Throw throw throw no matter what is not a good strategy. How many games did we lose against cover 2? He can't even run the ****ing ball when any coach in the country knows that's how to play it.

Why are you lumping Campbell with Staley and McCown?

Campbell actually had HC experience before being hired with Detroit.

McCarthy had a Super Bowl win and tons of playoff appearances on his resume. It was like when Reid became available.

Gase makes no sense at all unless you consider his supposed QB guru. Which is now depleted and mocked.

McDaniels was rehabilitated by returning to Belichick. Like college coaches are with Saban.

Frazier and Bowles are getting interviews but the league is trending towards offense. Most of the last coaches standing in the playoffs have been offensive based. Bowles will receive a second chance. Frazier was horrible with the Vikings.

McCown is merely because Houston is run like a 1936 NFL franchise.

A lot of these hires come down to how well the interviews go. Is there energy? Does the candidate articulate well his plans for the franchise? Does the GM/owner feel comfortable in saying this guy can make the leap as a leader of men?

Problem with EB is not only his history, but also it does not help to be under a head coach who controls the offense. Further any offense with Patrick is not going to be replicated anywhere else. So besides working with Andy, what can you honestly say EB will be great at? I doubt any fan base would be fired up and running ticket office for a EB hire. To me Bowles, Leftwich Ryans, Morris and Flores are the best AA candidates. Sure they more deserving then McCown but there were a lot of candidates more deserving then Culley and I would guess a lot of qualified candidates have no interest in the Houston or Jacksonville jobs. Doubt any of the above AA candidates would take it. But they all are getting interviews but this day and age some coordinators are very reluctant to leave a good situation and job into a dysfunctional rebuild.

I agree. It was a PR play. But....

Only 1 black coach, who is an institution in Pitt, out of 32 teams. 70% of players are black. Flores showed progress every year. He shouldn't have been fired for his on the field performance. But..........

Your boss wants you to do something major to help the business, ethical or not, and you don't? Many bosses won't forget that. Its a matter of time until an excuse is found to move on from you.

3-9 in conference games makes Andy Alex Smithian. Not saying he should go, eyes should be open to it.

I am fully behind Flores suing if he was fired for not committing legal and moral misdeeds.

I was merely saying that the rule itself was invented so Johnny Cochran wouldn't sue. We have seen time and time again if a team has the candidate they want, sham interviews occur.

The number does look poor right now but the firings and hires that have occurred this offseason aren't based in racism but other motivations. The Giants just committed to Daniel Jones again. So they went out and hired Allen's OC. Flores couldn't keep an OC in Miami. He doesn't fit that job. Culley deserved better but everyone has mocked Houston for being a circus. Flores got fired for not following the owner and fighting over Tua. Bears are run by aging relics who want familiar names and no idea what they are doing. Vikings are going for Khaki Jim. His resume is the best in the field. Leftwich would be with the Jags if he wasn't making GM demands. Saints are still open.
