Bieniemy has been abused by the league, honestly.... I mean even ****ing Todd Haley got a head coaching job. Every square jawed dipshit from teams we stomped gets a shot, while he has been used as a token interview - ended up having to move franchises and then told to tank... It's sad to me.

Above all else, NFL Teams want to win, and they have rather short ropes for Coaches that don't. If EB were that guy, don't you think they'd be reeling him in to be their HC with his resume?

No. The majority of NFL teams are run by morons. They make asinine decisions constantly and the vast majority are hiring and firing coaches all the time because they have no clue what they are doing.

I don't disagree that a large percentage of NFL Owners are over reactive morons, but I do tend to believe that there is some level of legitimacy as to why EB hasn't been offered a NFL HC Position.

And not being hired by team X, can make other teams gun shy with no reason.

It is ridiculous watching white retreads get hired, and white offensive coordinators without SB rings or a proven track record as OC, get hired instead of EB.

Race isn't a huge factor, but the losing coordinators from Philly both got HC jobs after losing the SB. Their only SB. They are both white.

Adam Gase was hired twice, failed miserably twice, and is still more likely to be hired as a HC than EB. He is white.

But, now even black coaches with far less experience winning are getting hired instead of EB. I do not know EB personally, but I have apologized for wanting him gone. Nagy sucks.

I find myself getting pissed off that a black OC with multiple SB rings as OC, keeps getting shafted for lesser candidates. I feel like not being hired just snowballed, and now he doesn't get hired as a HC simply BECAUSE he hasn't already been hired as a HC.

Dan Quinn will fail. Raheem Morris will fail. Canales will fail. In fact, I am not sure that a single coach, outside of Harbaugh, will succeed for any significant period of time.

Nominally, yes, but my point is...they aren't... they are failing miserably (9 head coaches were fired during or after the season - 1/3 of the ****ing league) so maybe...just maybe...they are morons. I mean is Callahan (fail son) or Hackett (fail son) have a better resumes than EB? No. It's just sad to me that he has been used the way he has - which is partly the Rooney Rules fault - but here we are. I hope he gets a shot some day.

I think it's true that EB has had his chain jerked around a lot, but at the same time, when you think about how many deeply unpleasant people have had success in this league... Like, is he challenging the people interviewing him to fist fights or something? Is he insulting their wives? Or perhaps challenging their wives to fistfights? How can a guy with his resume be THIS unhireable as a HC? It would be nice if a legitimate investigative journalist dug into it a bit, because it's pretty baffling from the outside.

I say give him his old job back and he gets HC when Andy retires.

EB's play calling was an abomination. He took a first year starter and had him drop back forty times a game. Howell went from throwing fifty yard bombs to Tyler Palko by week seventeen. He ruined the QB. He shouldn't ever get his old job back until he learns how to call running plays and not get rookie's annihilated.

Pretty much this. EB did get Howell to play some good-to-great games, statistically. 7 or 8 games with a PR over 90, 6-7 games with a QBR over 50, with a couple in the 70 range. That's decent for a rookie QB.

But he also exposed him to a lot of abuse from pass-rushers. He tried to operate the Chiefs' offense; 70% passing vs. 30% rushing. And when it became obvious that he didn't have the QB/OL to be successful, he didn't adapt/modify his gameplans. That inability to self-evaluate and adjust is a big red flag to league owners/GMS.

I watched a lot of Redskin games this season, and anybody who did would tell you that the Oline ruined their season. EB had them playing decent early, but there was line attrition and THEN the team went into tank mode in hopes of getting Caleb. It was an impossible situation, one, albeit, he chose...

Yes, he passed the ball...but its 2024...and its the NFL...

I wonder where he ends up, it would be tough to sit out a year... I doubt he comes back here, unless it's some hybrid role they invent.
