i think all the noise around this game will favor the chiefs. bills desperate to beat the chiefs, they finally get a chance at home, chiefs have the worst record they’ve had in the mahomes era, all the pressure is gonna be on the bills. not to mention the chiefs have the mental security of already having won multiple titles and having won multiple games against this team in the playoffs. we should be loose and flying around while the bills are gonna be tight af, knowing that this game could define their legacy. i def think this could end up similar to bengals/bills last season

Oh crap I'm misremembering the crowd part. Anyway, yeah, controlled the LOS. Hope Andy gets the run/screen game going early and keep us out of 3rd and long where the receivers become a bigger liability.

But you have lost 3 of 4 against Buffalo. Another loss would be 4 of 5 and it starts to become a mental problem for KC moving forward. You want to beat your main rivals at least 50% of the time. Both sides really need to win this game for different reasons.

Only issue is the opposing team will start doing the same thing to PMII when he takes off running.

You have to be smart with the hits on the QB if you want to keep your own alive.

You mean like PMII being 2-0 against Allen and the Bills in the Playoffs?

It's more obvious on this angle. I don't think it's awful and I can see how it could be considered awkward juking, but he clearly leans back, too, making it look like he'll slide.

Seems like the defender most likely to tackle him read it as a juke though.. typically a defender will continue running at a QB who's sliding and then jump over them or whatever, while that guy pulled up and acted like he was trying to contain.... I dunno, I don't think it was terrible.

Pretty much ancient history at this point. Tyreek is gone. He played a major role in those 2 wins. Philadelphia just showed us how true the old saying is about NFL meaning Not For Long. They went from a Super Bowl level team a year ago to falling apart this season after a 10-1 start.

Yep, he leans back just after he crosses the first down line, and the defender pauses just enough for Allen to shoot the gap. The guy still should have made the tackle, but it makes it much more difficult once Allen made the defender pause.

The NFL needs to ban the fake QB slide. That's total BS.

Yeah, there's some similarity with the Bengals narrative last year. I don't want any team having the Chiefs' number.

Naturally I don't want to invite vicious contact to Mahomes, but what are you supposed to do when you see Allen in the open field? He's too big, you can't hesitate or try and play it soft because you're afraid of the flag, he'll just run past you. And he's 100% aware of that, the same way Mahomes is aware teams kinda lay off him near the sideline so he can sneak in an extra step and extend his arm. He deliberately late slides and looks to the official, its a strategy because the rules favor going for the slide late and he's big enough to blow past you if you think he'll slide.

What other card can you play other than tackling him hard and just accepting the flag if they throw it?

Actually, no. What they need to ban is treating the QB like a China Doll once they decide to be a RB. Unless you are in a full slide, they should be able to knock your dick into the dirt.
