Yet ANOTHER great pick.

One more, and they can let Carl Peterson out of the broom closet they have him locked in.
We gotta sign UDFA's first!

We need to do really well with that we need several of those guys to make the team.

That could be said for just about anyone, but he's got rare athletic ability for the position, and dropped due to the level of competition.

He's white, I don't know if he's a George Strait fan or not.

Strengths:
Good size and bulk with the frame to get bigger...A much better athlete than he is given credit for....Good timed speed and is very quick....Relentless with a non-stop motor...A good bull rusher...Uses his hands well...Shows some power...Productive.

Weaknesses:
Did not play against top competition...Is not as explosive as his workout numbers might lead you to believe..Not real stout at the point of attack...Repertoire of pass rush moves is limited....Needs to get stronger....Short arms...Raw technique-wise.

Notes:
Began his college career as an outside linebacker in 2004 and moved to defensive end in 2005...Two-time Division I-AA All-American...Recorded two sacks in the Hula Bowl...Underrated small school prospect with terrific physical tools and production.

I really think that played-out exactly the way we wanted. Johnston might have been their target all along, and they gambled.

The guy has power, speed, and quickness. He was productive in college. That's about all you could ask of a 7th round DE.
