I think they have a chance to be also, because they'll be able to run a different type of offense. But, I think with better coaching they could have done better with the players they had this season.

I was listening to Westwood one for the first part of the second half and they called it….with Arkansas’ front line athleticism, Hunter was a major liability on defense (until self hid him in the zone).

Djust didn’t have the horses this year. Give me some people who hate losing and for the love of god find the next mason or graham

I’m calling my shot at Point Guard. Braden Smith from Purdue.

Rumor was that he wanted more money last year. I’m sure this stuff gets around and guys are getting offers before they decide to transfer or not.

That’s the guy if Self can make it happen. Give him every penny.

I honestly can't remember a group since the 98-99 years when this squad was less fun to watch, and utterly lacking in any true leadership. Thank god baseball season is on the horizon... Go Royals! A team that might actually be legit fun to watch!

Smith is a good player but if you thought Dickinson was limited athletically, Braden Smith is even worse.

He gets badly exposed by athletic guards.

If we get Flory back, he can at least have elite rim protection behind him.

Tiller at the 4 would probably help with that as well.

He was just stuck on KJ and Harris

I like the kid but they were always gonna be doomed as long as KJ remained a starter, I had the same concerns in the offseason even when we were gonna be ranked #1. He (and as it turned out, Harris) just made them way too easy to guard.

It’s not just NIL though.

It’s NIL + Transfer Portal + A Major Shift In How The Game Is Played

Those are 3 huge adjustments for an aging coach. I’m not sure it’s possible for a coach to be great in the previous and new era.
