And iMobileCinema is anything from buggy. Never had a single crash. And all mobile devices are going to be limited on Flash capabilities. The future EVO included. Due to the lack of mouse input and defined pointer. Stuff like mouse-over and hover don't work. Lots of sites depend on that input.

My impressions so far:
Feels bulky in my hands. To be able to type on the touch keyboard while holding it was annoying. Weight. Felt heavy in my hands. I was surprised at how weighted it felt in my hands. Would not want to hold this for long periods of time. WiFi. Thought it sucked and had problems loading pages. Thought I was using edge network to load pages. Thoughts? Did not like it at all. Felt heavy in my hands and using the keyboard while holding the iPad just seemed awkard and cumbersome. Also, no forward facing camera. I just do not get how the iPad does not have one. skype, IM's, etc. Big miss by not having one. A USB port would solve this, but it doesn't even have that. Definitely expect future versions of the iPad to include this and items missing from it. I see absolutely no reason to buy this. My old netbook takes care of everything, and then some that the iPad is suppose to accomplish. As of now, it's just not for me. |

Yeah, I read a lot of PDF's too, I just rotate them counterclockwise and read them on my netbook like a ebook reader.

possibly, I'm not sure, the iphone never really addressed some of its biggest failings... (multitasking???)
EDIT: I'm sure they will be better, but I imagine only marginally so... and not as functional as other tablet devices available --- just like the new Android 2.1 phones are more usable than the Iphone |

My only problem is that it doesn't support use of a stylus, that would be a HUGE boon for note taking in my opinion (at least for engineering... some shite is just hard to type!)

Just a side note, I HATE the Iphone OS and am not sold on Android as anything more than a phone OS... Win7 seems like a bit of overkill for a tablet PC... I am eager to see if Chrome OS fills the void..
fyi... Chrome OS will have Flash built in, no need to d/l anything. |

WE won't know until Thursday afternoon but everything is pointing to multitasking being a reality with 4.0. well, at least for the apps that Apples says you can use multitasking with.

I ****ing love my Macbook Pro. I don't know that I could ever go back to using Windows exclusively ever again.
But, I hate the way the iPod/iPhone/iPad architecture is headed. I'm note a DRM stoner by any means - I pay for my music, TV shows, and movies. But I hate the closed set up of new Apple products. With the iPod/iPhone, I can somewhat accept it. But as you get closer to a computer application, that's a no go for me. I want to be able to go to a third party and say, "hey, I like that browser more than the one I have. Let's try it out.", without worrying about whether Apple declares it usable. On my Macbook, I'm able to use alpha, beta, or pro software from anyone that wishes to develop. I'm so tempted to buy, but I'm going to let the technology mature and see what competitors come out with. |

WebOS(PalmPre) is almost a year old now.. Android? etc etc IF OS4.0 does allow multitasking.. they still haven't solved the reason they disallowed it in the first place.. underpowered hardware... |
