Some models still take heavy stuff over KC. I remember back in like 1991 or so we got 17" and only like 6" was predicted.

Another thought, if it's shitty enough that I can't get home from work tomorrow, and the 2nd shift guys can't get to work... I could volunteer to stay and work a double shift. (Easy OT... it'd be slow as hell, obviously. I'll bring a book..lol) And we have a lounge to sleep in from midnight to 7am, and a shower... Hell, if it's as bad as they say it could be, I may just stick around and make some extra money.

My wife and I were talking about this:

How rare is a storm like this? Once a decade? 25 years? 50 years?

I remember when I was 12 we had an ice storm that knocked out power for about 5 days. My first year in grad school we had a storm there that dumped almost 18 inches. But for this area (CoMo), 20+ inches of snow is damned near unheard of.
