No, after 5.5 innings its an official game as long as its not tied.

Not if the visiting team scored 1 or more runs to take the lead and the home team hasn't batted yet. The game will have to be restarted or made up.

(a) A game shall become a suspended game that must be completed at a future date if the game is terminated for any of the following reasons:
(1) A curfew imposed by law;
(2) A time limit permissible under league rules;
(3) Light failure or malfunction of a mechanical field device under control of the home club. (Mechanical field device shall include automatic tarpaulin or water removal equipment);
(4) Darkness, when a law prevents the lights from being turned on;
(5) Weather, if a regulation game is called while an inning is in progress and before the inning is completed, and the visiting team has scored one or more runs to take the lead, and the home team has not retaken the lead; or

If they can't finish the game, since the Royals took the lead in the top of the inning it becomes a suspended game and must be completed.

No. I blame Matheny for making a stupid decision. I blame Boggs for being the worthless one who sucks the penis he's been for every pitch of his big league career.

There isn't a Cardinal fan alive who believed he would make it through the 8th against the Braves in that one game playoff. He got bailed out by one of the all-time awful officiating **** ups.

Thats why every Cardinal fan is so pissed. He has not earned a single pitch. No, this is not the managers fault. He opened the season as our annointed closer. He pitched himself out of the job and to the minors. Sucked in the minors and still brought him back up.

In his career he has blown like 17 out of 25 games he was tasked to save.
