Some people wanted him to get a HC job so the Chiefs could get a 3rd round draft pick. Didn't work out that way. I think replacing our shitty OTs with shitty OTs and not replacing JuJu is more of a reason for our offensive demise. That and other WRs stepping up.

I just wanted the draft picks and more evidence that the Patriot Way bullshit tree is exactly that-- bullshit. Additionally, I liked seeing young coaches get promoted. Kept the offense fresh. Don't let stagnation set in with the offense. Mahomes is a smart guy, so get him to run new concepts and work with different guys.

But the biggest thing was I really hated watching EB's name get slung through the mud. People were talking as if he'd go into one of these head coaching interviews, take a giant shit on the table, and then leave. It hurt me as a fan to see him get passed over in favor of these giant douchebags with piss poor resumes who only get hired because they "nail the interview." Arthur Smith in Atlanta can't develop any players or put them in positions to succeed. Brandon Staley was ****ing clueless. And obviously the same goes for Adam Gase, but at least he WAS a head coach once before. All of those were positions that EB was reportedly a finalist for and got passed up in favor of those lunkheads.

Don't tell me Nick Sirianni nailed his interview, either. Yeah, that guy says lots of cool stuff, doesn't he? Bet he went into that meeting and wowed the owners with his cool, calculated plans and eloquent charisma. EB really got passed over because he couldn't interview, but that guy managed to wow a successful franchise with all the answers?

Don't. ****ing. Buy. It.

Just to be clear, I was also all about losing EB to a HC job and getting the picks. I REALLY wanted that to happen. What I didn't understand was the folks that wanted him gone, whether it be a firing, a college job, or a lateral (at best) move. There were substantial people who simply wanted him gone and argued that he didn't do anything here anyway, which NEVER made sense.

I should take the time to go back and find all the posts, but I'm not sure I really want to invest in all that right now.

Washington's offense was better last year with a confused bum at quarterback (Carson Wentz). He had ONE job this year. Build a system for a rookie QB. And he chose to make this kid drop back nine thousand times and crafted a predictable scheme that allowed defenses to tee off. And he brought Wyle. And maybe he's great for the "discipline". He can be a dictator and make the offense run this boring assed stale predictable scheme with precision. Who cares...The results are the same.

It was the combination of seeing EB yap on the sidelines at Mahomes and other players and the media politicizing the discussion around him not getting a head coaching job that made him an enemy in a lot of circles.

When someone gets on the wrong side of CP, they are not a person with strengths and weaknesses, they are terrible in every way - so this became "EB doesn't do anything" "EB ruined the AFCCG" "The players all hate him" and other made-up nonsense.

I don't buy the idea that EB was holding the team together, there are a myriad of problems this year that start with personnel, but when CP goes against someone it goes completely against them.

Basically no. I did years ago cause I thought he'd get them a pick if he became a HC. I've been fine with him until that wasn't gonna happen

To me it is the regression of 3 players and the failure of two others really to step up.. Two of them Kelce and Mckinnon probably more slight injuries and age. Neither really looking like they have the same burst/speed as last year. MVS was supposed to be the leader of the WR, be expanding his route tree etc. For being out there 80% of the time has totally lost the confidence of 15 and really is a nonentity.

Tooney and SKY did not have big roles last year and needed to step up and have totally flopped.

Would be really funny if Bieniemy came back and the offense was immediately back to normal. Like no more drops, penalties, turnovers, etc.

Just turns into a well-oiled machine overnight.

I think Kelce is more hurt than we realize.

He missed week 1 with a really late injury. Then looked like a really bad injury against the Vikings.

It’s hard enough to rehab injuries just living a normal life. I can’t imagine trying to rehab while being a pro athlete and playing a full season of a collision sport.
