If he can play 35 minutes a game as a freshman for Bill Self on an top defensive team and not look out of place, I'm not too worried about his abilities in that regard. The lateral movement could serve to be improved (and probably will with time), but with his length and athleticism he'll manage.

I’m really curious how these Big 12 teams will look in the first round of the tournament.

Will they be worn down? Or will they destroy teams from weaker conferences?

If we see Big 12 teams blowing out other major conferences, then we have a great chance at making a run.
