Gotcha. I joined the 49er forum during the off season and posted a bunch of positive things I saw coming into this season with KC. I expressed my feelings about Avery and how he could be a good WR with Alex. So far my analysis of that was correct. I slowly found myself having to deal with a lot of negative comments from people who absolutely thought KC would struggle and be lucky to win 6 games. I kept saying I thought this team had a chance to be special and so far so good on that too. Everyone has their opinion but those guys over there think they know for a fact that theirs are true no matter how much proof you show them. Whatever though, the whole thing is ridiculous and I don't even know why I even bother.

Interesting notes on Alex Smith.

Currently has attempted only 4 passes over 20 yards (1 completion). (30th)

13th in accuracy percentage (not bad but he was near the top in SF)

His receivers have dropped the 5th highest percentage of passes so far.

4th highest sack percentage when under pressure (not surprising)

23rd in completion percentage when under pressure

He is performing poorly when he actually has time to throw. He actually leads the league in number of dropbacks of 2.6 seconds or more. Only completing half of his passes in those situations, with 8 sacks.

Wow, that's too bad. And things seemed to be going so well, you being 3-0 and all.

You must feel like Wyle E. Coyote, chasing the Roadrunner, almost got him, you look down, and there's nothing but air under your feet.

So, what do you think? 3-13 sound about right?

Jags game was offense going into a complete shell. See those cool 3rd down plays last night? That is why you save them, not show them in preseason or blowouts.

Last 2 weeks. Smith is playing his game but it's not his A game. He needs to play sharper and cut the D up more.
Same goes for most of the offense as well.
