Paxton Lynch

Qb from Memphis, on ABC right now against Ole miss.

He's endorsed by Sacofbats so, take caution, but I'm intrigued

Going big is grabbing a guy that can't read a defense, call plays, or snap from under center. Weird definition. They were desperate.

Good for them...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Not necessarily.

Yeah, the Chiefs had a first round pick that was three spots higher than Denver's but they didn't have a third rounder to make the deal with Seattle. Denver did.

Don't think so. You don't put those kind of resources into due diligence, not to mention that Dorsey all but said that Goff nor Wentz were the best QBs in this draft in his pre draft press conference.

At less than a 10th of the price we got a guy (prospect right...let's call it what it is) that has the same physical measurables, stronger arm, can throw on the run, and more mobile. It was a good move. The Chiefs, Dallas, Az, and Cleveland were all looking at Lynch.

I don't think it's a bad move.

It's just a move that won't pay off for a year or two.

And if Elway is smart he'll keep him off the field for at least his first year unless you need to play the 3rd QB...

Yeah, most reports have said he's not ready this year... so, give him some experience, but 2017 is really the time you would expect him to seriously compete. The price was right for moving up.

Since him...no. You have run other team's developed QB's in your system.
Ask the Texans what they think of the QB Denver most recently developed. Or try it this way: tell me the last Chiefs developed QB who was signed away in free agency.

Cutler was certainly developing fine until mcDaniels (apparently acting on Belicheck orders to destroy the franchise) ran him off. He's had a long career now as a starter, though he hasn't had the success you might have hoped for based on early results. But again, name for me the Chiefs developed QB who has been a. ten year starter.
