He picked the right guy to do it to also. Nobody gives a flip if Ramirez gets chin music.

And he laid him out. That should be screen capped. I'd love that as my avi.

What are the details of Greinke's contract? We should compare him to Sabathia to get the bang for the buck comparison!

Hell, when they traded away Johnny D. I washed my hands of the Royals because they truly had become the definition of a loser team with a slack ass loser management structure.

If they continue to play ball, pay their players and field a real team I'll come back to Royals stadium for the first time in over ten years.

I mean really, how can anyone go from watching George Brett in his prime, jacking three homers in the ALCS against Toronto and then watch more than a decade of shite!? I think they tried to kill the MLB market in KC and from reading some of the other threads some of you guys have bought into the "continuous rebuild" mentality which will never do anything but guarantee the end of a once proud franchise.

What should get Royals fans more excited is that they won 2 road games in a row without Greinke. That tells me they can contend.
In 1999 Pedro Martinez went 23-4. Saberhagen won 10. Nobody else won 10. The Red Sox went 94-68. That's what a guy like Greinke can do. If Meche can win 13-15 and Davies gives them 10-12 they can make the playoffs.

Yes. But I believe that was the question. I don't think either of those guys wnr 6-0 with an era that had to be read by the Hubble telescope, but they were dominant pitchers with killer stuff.

nice...Greinke plays head games on the mound I think.

Honestly, I don't know where I'd be without you telling me these things. We won two games w/o ZG?

Who knew?

The guy did an amazing backward flop, with his knees bent backwards under him. He's got quick reflexes. It's a damned good thing, too... that could have been ugly.

Exactly. If Bannister or Hochever pull it together you are talking about 2006 Tigers or 2008 Rays.
