But yes, you definitely get a card with a COVID vaccine. Other vaccines too - I still have mine from when I was a kid somewhere.
I was experiencing COVID info overload and kind of just looked away for awhile.

One of the people I work with is going on a cruise and it is required for all passengers and staff to be fully vaccinated.
The hospital I work at has already made it known that as soon as the FDA approves a Covid vaccine it will be required just like the Flu vaccine.

There was something weird that swept through late 2019. Lasted like a month, last two weeks were dry cough. But I don't think it was covid. No one was reporting loss of taste and smell and hospitals weren't filling up.
Ya it was weird I had a dry horse cough with flu symptoms for a few days and had to work from home for a week. Took like 2-3 weeks to get over the cough and breathing issue after the coughing. I was vaccinated with the flu shot way before that. I've never had flu issues like that.

I was back in KC for Christmas 2019 and some DJ - I think Chuck Nasty - was describing exactly what I had. He said his Dr. said it was the croups - which is normally in children but adults can get it.

But I've since come to the conclusion it wasn't the croups. It was something weird that had never been around before. But I don't think it was covid or we'd have tons of people in the hospital. Everyone in my office got the same thing. I got it playing poker in Vegas in early Dec.

Anybody remember the anti E-cigarettes campaign going on pre Covid because they were being blamed for a mysterious respiratory illness that was injuring and sometimes killing people? That was going on big time here in Ca and then Covid came along and I haven’t heard a thing more about it.

I was kind of curious about whether we could actually see that in data, so I grabbed 7-day case rates per 100k and % 18+ fully vaccinated from the CDC. Here's the result:

It's not as strong as you might guess (with an R2 of 21%), but the trend is definitely there.

(Missouri is the third-highest dot FWIW. Interestingly, Colorado is the second-highest despite relatively high vaccination rates. Wyoming is the highest.)
