That's your answer.
It's not just one pitcher though. Every one of them has had a bad outing it seems like.

Yep, last year Herrera was dominant and Holland was terrible for the first 2 or so weeks of the season.. a lot of people, including me I must admit, were wanting Herrera to be put in the closer role. Well, needless to say a lot of people were wrong.

Yeah Esky got his boomer on so MoustakAZ is really up against it. At least with Valencia playing today we officially have a hit in the books for 3rd base. Left side of the infield is 2 for 33 with 2 walks.

We all know it's still early but it's very concerning that the same problems from last year are somehow even worse this year. Moustakaz, Esky, Collins, Crow all look the same.....horrible.

The entire offense has been sub par, but 3 out of the 5 games played have been against ace shutdown studs. Still though 5 games and not 1 home run? They brought it up after the game to Uncle Ned and his response "we gotta big ballpark" which I'm so goddamn tired of hearing. Detroit has a big ballpark too and they were able to launch a few off of us in games 1 and 2.

Starters have been great (Guthrie remains lucky). Can't ask for much more out of them. The bullpen has blown two holds and you could count today as one (just not in the stat line). Maybe Belly only got that hit in the bottom 9 because it was garbage time, but take Collins and Buenos fine 8th inning collapse out and we would had a tied game.

I don't want to see Collins in a game when it matters for the rest of the year. He has been terrible since last June where he did something awful over 10 appearances in a row (can't remember exactly what it was). Him, Crow, Bueno, and Herrera scare the shit out of me every time they come in.

Oh well done with the rant. Plain and simple the bullpen isn't going to be what it was last year and we've got to accept the fact that last year was a very special year that is incredibly difficult to follow up....and they aren't going to.

If thats the case bye Dayton and Ned. I mean, the expectations are playofs for this team. not for 80-85 wins. Playoffs or bust IMO.

But what are Mr. Wal Marts expectations???

My first game this year....

1) Very nice park!

2) Shields needs to be held-out for the first "x" games of the season - he's just not very successful (even if it's because he's given no ruin support) at the beginning of the year.

3) Our bullpen must think thye're better than they are. If they think today was just another in a string of bad luck deals, they're living in denial. They need to step it up a LOT! Yeah, time to play scared and bump-start the juices.

4) Esky needs to be benched. Yes, it's time to try "getting in his dome" for a change. He needs to play scared because playing loose ain't helping.

5) The K is just awesome. What an awesome venue. I wish it was downtown, but that doesn't change that it's one VERY nice venue..

Oh...

6) These players need to realize that spring training is just that, spring training. If you're awesome in spring training, that nice, but it doesn't mean a dam thing once the season starts. Like the first game of the NFL's pre-season, it means a little more that nothing...

7 innings of 1 run ball? Seems like a weird time to bring up your idea.
