Everyone gets away with dropped INTs. Is there a QB who has never had an INT dropped? It's an obvious statement that means nothing.

We don't know who throws more "interceptable" passes. We do know that Allen has twice as many INTs so far this year and 4 times as many fumbles. That we know.

I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT LAST SEASON.

I AM NOT EVEN TALKING ABOUT TRENDS.

I SIMPLY STATED THAT UP TO THIS WEEK, THEY ARE ABOUT EQUAL IN THE TURNING THE BALL OVER VIA INTERCEPTIONS, as in when they throw the ball, up to this point in time.

I can't recall ever mentioning fumbles. In the past, or this season. Don't think I ever brought that up.

If I did, sorry I wasn't trying to bring that up. But I don't think I did.

My comments were purely about throwing INTs. And to my knowledge, they've been about the same, up to this point.

Now, I'm beating this to death for you, because I've already stated that Allen definitely turned the ball over more in the past. That's well-documented, so it doesn't need to be referenced again, I should think.

In his last 17 games, he has 16 INTs and 13 fumbles. Yep, sure seems he's left his ball security issues in the past.
Last season, Allen averaged 1.4 turnover worthy plays per game. Mahomes averaged 1.2 per game.

Allen is riskier, but it’s not by much. Very slim margin.

You are talking about turnover worthy plays.

He is talking about only turnovers - not plays that likely should have been a turnover.

I don’t think he knows what turnover worthy plays are.

Apparently you're the one who doesn't understand that "turnover worthy play" is a subjective number. I remember seeing a compilation of some of Mahomes' "turnover worthy" throws from 2020, and in several cases, the DB had to dive just to get a finger on the ball. If we're talking about a pass that Odell Beckham Jr would struggle to catch, that's not really a "turnover worthy play" in my eyes.

Fine, you get a pass.
We aren't talking about fumbles, or even "potentially interceptible passes."

Moving on.

So getting three starters back, including their most talented corner, and adding a great player still wouldn’t get their defense into the same stratosphere eh? Seems rational.

Last year, the Chiefs left 10+ points on the field and still hung 42 on that “#1 D.” So is Allen not in the same stratosphere as Mahomes since he scores less points every year vs a defense that isn’t in the same stratosphere as his?

At least they’re not facing backup QBs every week this year. Just below average offenses/QBs and a pretty good QB in bad weather.

I'm not bagging on Pat; it's the style he plays and he's going to get intercepted. It's actually surprising with all the wild ass throwing angles (and some of his riskier decisions) he regularly uses that he hasn't been intercepted more than he has, not just this season but for his career.

But my point was just that if we understand that Pat has thrown some interceptible balls that were just dropped, then he and Allen aren't that far apart so far as ball security goes. It's a wash, imo.
Now do fumbles.
