Do all 4 racers ever make it to the end of snowboard cross? That first turn seems like a great place to eat it.

I am damned disappointed in our Curling team. Damned disappointed.
By the way, I've done some research on the subject and found out some interesting stuff. First off, Curling has become the most watched Olympic sport on television. This was a big surprise to everyone during the Salt Lake games. Also, Curling was invented by the Scots. It seems they would spend hours upon hours shoving large rocks around on the frozen marshes for enjoyment. Sometimes, they would bonk the large rocks into each other, too. If there were any disagreement as to the connection between Curling and Single Malt Whiskey, this ends the argument. FAX |

I must admit, curling is a fascinatingly bizarre sport to watch. It's like bocci on ice, mixed in with a little horseshoes and darts.
For those who dislike the Olympics: only in the Olympics can a curling match between Japanese and American women come down to a measurement, and it's actually suspenseful. As for hockey, as someone (Mike Milbury?) pointed out in the postgame analysis, some of the USA players had literally arrived the day before and the team's had little time to practice, whereas their first-round opponent is the best team in the bracket not named "Canada" and are very familiar with each other. Now watching the finale of the Westminister dog show on USA, waiting for Olympic coverage to start... |

I think I'd nail every one of these female curlers. They're not swimsuit models, but they're all attractive enough in an understated every-day way. Some makeup and a nice dress and they'd be pretty hot.

I think it's because almost anybody could be a Curler. At least the Thrower or Pusher or Slider person (whatever they call it), if not the Sweeper / Janitor person. Young people, old people, slow people, fat people, anybody could be a Curler. That's why so many people watch it. Plus, there's strategy. I didn't expect there would be so much, but there's a ton. On top of that, they take time between lobbing the rocks down the ice to talk to each other and try to figure out where to heave the next rock. That gives the audience time to get to the fridge and back, no problem. I would very much like to open a chain of Curling Rinks around the US. I think it would make a great sport for people of all ages and mental conditions. FAX |

I think that it would be fun to go curling. A date night similar to mini-golf or bowling.

![]() Curling certainly seems to have a lot more interaction and strategy than bocci or horseshoes. Condition of the ice, weight of the rock, how much spin you put on it, how much power you deliver it with, what your sweepers do, what the opposing sweeper does once the rocks collide, etc.,. I bet it's actually pretty interesting to watch in person. And these German chicks are growing hotter by the minute. Great high angle of the USA sweeper just now, vigorously scrubbing in front of the enemy rock. Her buttcheeks were bouncing up and down, with the great above-the-circle camera angle. I might need to take a moment here... ![]() |

It doesn't look easy at all. Look at the way they push off from that black thing and glide straight towards the line, keeping themselves on a straight line while thinking of how hard to throw and how much wrist-spin to put on it. Most of us would probably just fall on our ass trying to push off from the black thing, LOL.

No disrespect, gentlemen, but Curling is easy as all get out. Heck, the Scots invented the sport by pushing around rocks on their frozen marshes, for crying out loud.
All you do is push your big round thing down the alley thing and try and get it in the bulls-eye thing. That's it. If there's another big round thing in the way, you smack it out of the way. Plus, you get a whole bunch of big round things to try with ... not just one. Piece of pie. FAX |

Wally just said that all we need is a couple more points and we'll be right back in the game.
Damn good news from Wally. FAX |
