The fine is a joke, the retribution the officials will almost certainly have against the Chiefs will be far more impactful.

That's the risk. The burn here is that the Chiefs are the nicest and most professional team in the league, and that somehow invites abuse in these situations. Other coaches regularly scream at the officials on national TV from the sidelines, and that's apparently not a issue. Yet that's a more visible and venomous attack on the referees' supposed reputations than Reid commenting calmly and truthfully after the game that their terrible call was embarrassing to the NFL.

It's all part of the NFL drama. The NFL is very much letting the Chiefs know they should not complain next time we're ****ed over like we were in Green Bay. Notice that Roger Goodell only chimes-in on the call where his guys were actually correct. That's all you need to know, and this fine is also a warning to not open their mouths next time the officials are wrong. The NFL officials are just as big of clowns as Roger is, and they're all playing a role in this scripted drama.

Roger knows his people suck, he has no intention of fixing it, so he's letting the teams know it's about scripts and drama, not getting calls made (calls and no-calls), and made right.

I suspect there will many "Sign Police" at our next home game given the number of signs that should be shown on TV expressing how pussy-ass WWFL officials are. If not signs, I'm sure plenty of fans will remind the officials that they suck and manipulate the outcomes of games.

The WWFL is trying to get them to either react or bow to their mafia overlords. Why do I think that? Because, like the convenient (even if right) call of the offsides, along with the convenient timing of the no-call for DPI the week before, they conveniently decide to fine a player and coach getting fined for something (else) that frequently happens and no fine.

It's all drama that the WWFL is pumping up.

The fines are charitable donations to organizations approved the the NFLPA... Most pros will adjust their charitable giving by the amount of the fines, for Andy and Pat, this will be a wash financially.
