All these midwestern chains are pure garbage - Papa Johns, Pizza Hut, Dominos, etc. They are too doughy and overpriced.
I'm thankful we finally got a "new york style" pizzeria here to give these dumps a run for their money. |

My favorite pizza in KS would have to be Sarpino's Pizzeria. They're pizza is really good. My personal favorite there is the
Santa Fé Chicken pizza: Chipotle ranch sauce, chicken breast, green & red peppers, onions, parmesan cheese, bacon, cheddar & mozzarella cheese. I've usually had them add Jalapenos on it as well for some more kick. http://www.sarpinos.com/pages/menu/ I also have generally like Imo's Pizza as well. http://www.imospizza.com/menu.aspx#Pizza All this pizza talk being said it's a shame I happen to live in North Dakota and there is nowhere near to actually get a decent slice from. Just your normal crappy papa johns, pizza hut, caesars, and dominoes. Might have to try the new dominoes pizza to see how it ranks against the other crap choices. |

My favorite is Wheat State Pizza. All their pizzas are good, but the Hawk 'n Cheese and Pa's Barnyard are my favorites.

While I think those commercials are a good marketing idea, there's no way in hell Abominos will improve enough to compete with other pizza places up here. In Chicago, pretty much all the pizza places are great. They have Pizza Hut and Dominos and Papa John's, but even a local mom-and-pop pizza place is going to blow any of those out of the water. And when you start talking about the heavy hitters up here, like Gino's, Giordanos and Lou Malnatis, there's just no point. Anybody who orders national chain pizza in this area is out of their ****ing mind.
