Here's the current landscape, for whatever it's worth ... 1. CHI - Need a real QB, LT, and Pass Rusher 2. DEN - Need a real QB, maybe LT and WR 3. MIN - Need a QB but don't see them finishing this high unless they trade Cousins 4. CHI (f/CAR) - Need a real QB, LT, and Pass Rusher 5. LAC - Don't see them finishing this high 6. LV - Need a real QB 7. ARI (f/HOU) - Need ER, LT, and #1WR 8. TEN - Need a QB 9. CIN - Don't see them finishing here 10. JAX - Don't see them finishing here 11. NYJ - Need a QBotF 12. NE - Need LT, and anything else offensively. 13. ARI - Need ER, LT, and #1WR |

We've got an awfully good young core for several SB runs in place. I'd prefer to keep some of that core into the next, say, 5 years. So I suppose I'd rather NOT make a big splash and just keep drafting and developing good football players, finding bargains in free agency, keep our chess pieces, and keep rolling.

I think you make one of 2 moves in the offseason... you go get Mekhi Becton to play tackle or you go get Tee Higgins at WR if Cincy doesn't tag him. Whichever you don't get, you make a move in the 1st to get the other position. Give Mahomes time and give him a legitimate weapon beyond Kelce and you have a strong recipe for continued dominance.

I thought he looked pretty good last night.
Get that dude for a nice mid tier deal and lets roll with the OL we got. I don't wanna get bombarded so I'll bring it up here, but......is there any way the Raiders would trade us Devantae? |

Looking at the contract situation, I think they're tied pretty clearly to him for another year at least. That contract isn't easily escaped until AFTER the 24 season.

How about drafting TE Brock Bowers in the 1st RD for a splash?
Trade a 3rd + CEH this season for RB Taylor for extra splash... Kelce & Bowers Taylor & Pachecco |

I seriously doubt Indy would trade Taylor if they had to take CEH and I don't think the Chiefs would be able to sign him long term so that would be a rental. |

Bowers would be a splash for sure, if they went up and got him.
But man, I think you have to be trading into the top 10 to get him. And that's an awfully steep price from 32. Hard to imagine trading up that high and NOT taking a LT, QB, CB, WR, or DE. Bowers would have to hit the ground running as a star TE, and that isn't usually the case with TEs. More Chiefs-like move would be to find a way to pry Kyle Pitts away from the Falcons (who, remarkably, are using him as an in-line TE while they have Jonnu Smith of all ****ing people do move TE stuff from the slot). I mean, I get wanting to utilize Jonnu Smith. I get wanting to have Pitts play in-line some of the time. But playing Pitts in-line to use Smith the way they should be using Pitts is stupid territory, the kind of shit you'd expect from Nathaniel Hackett.
