Cold Pizza says DV is out and here's the leading candidates

Al Saunders is not high on the list.

Gregg Williams and Tim Lewis are the leading candidates.

F*k that. I hope its a BS rumor.

I still like Fischer from Tenn or Marucchi.

You know him?

Williams is obviously a superb defensive coordinator. Whether he can make the leap to HC or not isn't clear to me. He didn't have a ton of talent in Buffalo (Buffalo's OLine has been one of the top 5 worst in the NFL for the last 5 years in a row).

Donahoe has clearly messed some things up. He did some things well (Takeo Spikes, McGahee), but his drafting in general has been pretty weak. The trade for Bledsoe wasn't great, and that left tackle they took at #4 overall, Williams, is a joke.

Wow. I've heard you mention media attention and his family in the past, but I didn't realize you knew him. Did his family follow him to DC? If his family follows him wherever he goes, KC is going to be cake compared to larger markets. It's not like Whitlock has any credibility when he knocks someone.

The Jets were woeful under Belichick. Lots of HCs suck with their first team and come into their own with their second.

Ignoring Tony Gonzalez, and treating Larry Johnson like a stepchild are just two reasons why.

Did he say why? Or do you have any idea why?

Personally, I'd like to see it. And you know what they say, money can change their minds....

I think, with the right OTHER coaching changes, and personnel moves that with Williams, Lewis, or even Saunders....our "rebuilding" process could be expedited.
