TOLD YA HERM WOULD RUIN YOUR OFFENSE

I just wanted to be the first Jet fan that says I told ya so.

Hope Trent is OK, if hes smart he'll stay out a while so Herm gets another QB killed

The sad thing about these threads is that I actually kind of liked the Jets prior to this season. They weren't my favorite team by any stretch, but they sucked for so long that I like to root for them as the underdog. After this recent infestation, though, I would like nothing more than to see the Jets humiliated for the next few decades.

While some guys here may trolls, many are just trying to give opinions. the overwhelming feeling on Jets boards is that it is a shame Herm went to KC b/c it is such a ghreat football franchise w. great and knowledgable fans. Personally, I wish Herm went to Miami.

The anti-Herm crowd reminds me a lot of the anti-LJ crowd. Judging before the player/coach has even had a chance to do anything. Hopefully the anti-Herm crowd will get to eat a nice juicy shit burger like the anti-LJ crowd did.

Yeah, what he said. We were down by 2 TD's with plenty of time left to get it all back and then some, yet we decide to throw the ball on every down knowing it's a crap shoot whether Trent has the time to make the read. That's not Herm, or Marty ball. This offensive performance had ZERO to do with Herm Edwards. It had zero to do with Damon Huard as well. 5 wins in 6 career starts with a subpar offense in Miami tells me to give this 4 year vet of our offense the benefit of the doubt this week. Enough to win? Probably not, but this game will be much closer than many of you think. I believe in this defense, and I believe the offense will play better next week than they did on Sunday.

See, I watched a fair amount of Cleveland football (as much as was possible at the time) back in the day. I used them alot in Tecmo Bowl and became familiar with some of the players, so it was fun to watch them.

I hated Marty when he came here. I told people around me when he was hired that he was a born loser. I just knew that he'd never get the Chiefs to the Super Bowl. I was so against the hire that I bitched incessantly about it and said that I would never again have hope for this team until he was gone.

He was here for TEN YEARS.

It's just not worth it to me to hate Herm. For all I know, he's gonna be here for a decade and that's a decade I can't get back. So I'm just gonna enjoy it as much as possible and if we suck, we suck.

Again. Yeah, what he said.

How could this guy have so many red rep boxes after this statement. I mean love Herm or hate him, this is a genuinely funny statement.

The thing is:

If we wanted your opinion, we'd ****ing ask you for it.

As it is, you come off like a smarmy, Eddie Haskell type, invading our BB to tell us how sorry you feel for it.

Save your ****ing breath and go back to your own BB.

I guess you can look at this from a couple of different ways. LJ was a rookie and Herm already coached in the NFL for 5 years and a HC.... So there is alot of diffence in your statement. Herm has had a chance to prove himself and LJ hasnt. LJ was and is hungry. Herm seems to be content with his coaching style.

Its that way with life as well. People get comfortable and are not willing ot take risks or make changes in their lives. Others are never content and are willing to risk alittle for the opportunity of rewards. Geesh I am 33 with a comfy IT job and decided that I need more in life and decided to get a BS in Aviation to fly commerically for an airline.

Now before you start whining about him backing into the playoffs one year and the classic Marty ball game agianst SD... Lets just say there are alot of coaches that go to the playoffs each year. Getting to an AFC Championship or a Super Bowl are another.

Once Herm gets us to one of those. I will quit questioning him and bitching about his coaching styles, along with Flying to meet Htismaqe for a beer and crow.

At this point, I don't think that we, as fans, are in a position to hold our breath for an AFC Championship or a Super Bowl.

We need to MAKE THE PLAYOFFS first. And once we do that, we have to do something that our previous THREE COACHES COULDN'T do in the past 13 years -- WIN.

If Herm can just do that, I'll be happy, because that makes him the best thing we've had in 13 years.
