Merriman is a cheater. The league is to soft and too forgiving with players who cheat to get the sort of recognition merriman is getting in the first place. He says hes better the DT better the LT.... They didnt cheat unlike him. The proved they were forreal without using steroids. Merriman hasnt! And by judging how the league has seemingly bent over backwards for the chargers lately, i wouldnt be suprised if the ****er (merriman) has paid the league off so he can go on his merry way cheating! I think he should have and astric applied to any and every stat he makes.

Now he has a point but it is frustrating when half your team is sitting out with minor injuries. |

Nadrolone IS an anabolic steroid. So...Merriman was "on 'roids". Nadrolone helps increase both muscle growth and red bloodcell production. Essentially, giving Mr. Merriman a leg up on the competition. (also known as 'cheating')
The key word is WAS. People act as if he has been and still has Nandrolone in his system. He was tested several times before AND after the dirty sample. All times Negative. I am not disputing the fact that it is a steroid. Many supplement products on the market today do not go through the stringent FDA testing required for other drugs. However, each NFL team makes available to it's players all legal dietary supplements from approved sources. There is no reason Mr. Merriman would need to obtain supplements from non-NFL approved sources. AGREED. Regardless, Nadrolone availability is only 2.24% when taken orally. Thus 97.76% of the trace amount ingested in a tainted batch of creatine powder or whatever they mystery supplement was (assuming for sake of argument that a schedule III controlled substance would some how end up in a legal nutritional supplement during the manufacturing process) would simply pass through Mr. Merriman's system, unused. Nadrolone itself is not detectable in urine, rather it is the byproduct of Nadrolone's metabolization that is detected in urine tests. Injection of Nadrolone provides 100% availability....even injections in the ass. I dont know enough about the process to comment, but I have read various debates and disputes about exactly what you are talking about. I will try to dig some up. Strangely enough, after Mr. Merriman used non-NFL approved supplements which he claims were somehow tainted, he dropped his appeal. Even more astounding, he refused to reveal the type or manufacturer of said supplement...leaving the public at risk to tainted supplements. He dropped his appeal for the good of the team. Everyone knew that if his appeal dragged on, he would miss both Denver games. The reason he did not supply the name is because he is supposedly sueing the company. Merriman got caught with an anabolic steroids in his system. His excuse is ridiculous. He cheated, he got caught. He should not be in the pro-bowl. Obviously many Fans, Coaches, and Fellow players feel differently. Or know something we dont.... |

I just don't buy that he didn't do it on purpose. With all that's at stake with your reputation, money and team success, there's absolutely no reason to not use the same thing that everyone else does -- unless you're doing something you're not supposed to. |
